The ideal candidate must have the following key requirements for this position:

• 4 year accounting degree - BS
• Five years manufacturing experience including two plus years in cost
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles
• Experience in preparing and reviewing journal entries, inventory reconciliations and process manufacturing flows.
• Experience in Supervisory/ leadership role.
• Detail oriented, organized, hands on with good communication skills
• Strong teamwork, supportive/ cooperative attitude
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
• Experience with ASK Man-Man, Promis, Smith Dennis and Gaylord are a plus.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist in monthly close process; which includes preparing inventory journal entries, analysis and related communications
• Working with Purchasing to ensure proper and accurate material pricing
• Responsible for inventory valuation by establishing appropriate labor and overhead rates
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining appropriate inventory reserve levels
• Monitor and report on product costs and margins
• Assist in the coordination of the annual physical inventory and cycle counting
• Assit in the annual standard cost review and change
• Assit in preparing inventory related schedules for the annual audit
• Must be able to understand and analyze inventory absorption
• Review and analyze monthly inventory trends, manufacturing impact on the P&L
• Prepare and review monthly inventory reconciliations

• Assist in providing documentation and analysis for the annual audits for SOX 404.
